Great spot, was here about 8 year ago
Fabulous camping spot right next to the river. Great for swimming and throwing rocks. Also had a number of fruit trees - plums apples and peaches - which are all becoming ripe about now. Only amenities are a deep toilet, but the river water is clean and usable.
We we're here in early December and it was not busy. The cicadas were loud but the river was cooling in the heat. Plenty of level grass, pit toilets are good and free camping. There can be some traffic noise. Great coffee at the Whitty Cafe.
Fantastic camping spot. Great place to base yourself to explore the area. Very clean and well looked after.
