Great hospital, all staff were very friendly, caring and professional. They took great care of me. Once admitted things were moving along at a good pace, everything was explained clearly to me. Great job.Bit of a wait in emergency, which cant be helped. How lucky are we to live in a country were our medical needs are met for free, no one misses out.

I couldnt be happier with the treatment I received. I went to emergency on 14/5/18 at 2am with extreme pain related to an infection. I was admitted almost instantly and received painkillers shortly after. I was treated with so much care and compassion. My concerns, symptoms and pain were all taken seriously and treated so quickly. Within a couple of hours my infection had been treated and my pain was gone. I was kept in while the appropriate specialists were called and everything was arranged for me to go home. The nurses and doctors I was treated by were absolutely amazing. Thankyou so much Wangaratta Hospital!
When dealing with critically ill patience, the place lacks interest for saving lives. Depending on who is on duty depends on quality of care. Terribly understaffed. I will never forget the lack of attention to care when the 'nurse' arrived with a little tray of morphine just after the drs stopped the life support on my father. Their response was: "Oh you are too late." There was not enough attention to patient care. The nurses and doctor/specialist didn't look particularly interested in the situation; more interested in finishing up and moving on!!!! Although rather very keen to find out if there was any chance for organ donation?! Seriously? TERRIBLE! Too much hospital politics. People around you can hear you and understand you! Need more respect for your patience and quality patient care!!! This hospital has gone downhill!! APPAULING
